BPCL invites online applications for 154 entry-level non-management posts (Process Technician/Operator, Technician Mechanical & Electrical) at its Mumbai and Kochi Refineries in the pay scale ₹26,500–₹34,000. What is the application fee?
General, EWS and OBC (NCL) candidates pay ₹590 (₹500 fee + 18% GST) online, plus gateway charges if any. SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted.
How many vacancies are there?
154 posts in total — 60 Process Technician (Chemical) at Mumbai Refinery and 64 Process Operator/Operator (Chemical), 13 Technician/Operator (Mechanical) and 17 Technician (Electrical) at Kochi Refinery.
What qualification is required?
A full-time regular AICTE-approved Diploma in the prescribed engineering branch with at least 60% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD against reserved posts), plus one year relevant post-qualification experience or apprenticeship under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961, as on 01.07.2026. B.E./B.Tech./A.M.I.E. holders are not eligible.
What is the age limit?
18 to 25 years as on 01.07.2026, with relaxation of 3 years for OBC (NCL), 5 years for SC/ST and 10 years for PwBD (more for reserved-category PwBD), subject to a maximum cumulative relaxation of 15 years.
When will the exam be held?
The Computer Based Test is tentatively scheduled for September 2026; call letters with the date and centre will be emailed about 10 days before the exam.
